New Headteacher appointed

Following the retirement of Mr Rawlings at Easter, the Governors have appointed Mrs Alyson Mills to be the Headteacher of Lliswerry High School from September.

A Mathematician, Mrs Mills is currently Acting Headteacher of Marling School in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

We look forward to welcoming Mrs Mills to Lliswerry and wish her every success in her new role as Headteacher of our school.

....... to the Lliswerry High School website.  We want this site to be a useful source of information for our pupils and parents.  Our intention is to keep you up to date with current news and upcoming events.  We have made available key documents for you.  We try to include up to date pictures which are intended to give a flavour of what life is like at Lliswerry.

Based in Cardiff, Gôl is Wales´ first purpose-built football facility.  It has ten outdoor 5-a-side courts and Cardiff’s only 7-a-side pitch - all of which are floodlit.  There is a clubhouse with changing rooms, hot showers and a licensed bar showing live matches on LCD and Plasma screens.  The complex also has ample car parking covered by CCTV.  Gôl now has a similar facility at Lliswerry.

Gôl have installed revolutionary pitches using a rubber crumb infill.  The pitches look, feel and play like natural turf but without the disadvantages of getting waterlogged when wet or rutted when dry.

The School use the pitches during the day, while in evenings and at weekends the public will be able to play regularly at the centre through joining Gôl’s leagues or taking out a block booking.  Pitches are also be available for occasional hire, one-day tournaments and competitions, children’s parties and soccer schools on Saturday mornings and during school holidays.
